Welcome to E-xplore.Org
Green jobs! That is what e-xplore.org is all about. E-xplore.org wants everyone on the planet (at least, everyone who wants a job, paid or volunteer) to have a green job. So just what is a green job? Well, that, too, is something that e-xplore is all about. I suppose that everyone who logs onto this site has a slightly different idea about what a green job is so we will explore in our discussions what a green job is, how to get one, or how to turn the job we have into one. Oh, yes! and we will, also, talk about how to get more people involved in our Pledge Alliance (see the pledge below).
For now, I will tell you, in its broadest outline, my idea of what a green job is. A green job is both socially and environmentally responsible. Both! Just like in the old, old song about love and marriage, "You can't have one without the other." What is good for society (people) is good for the world (environment), and vice versa. Hmm! I guess we have done serious damage to that old theory about love and marriage over the last few decades, but people and their environment, unlike lovers, are inseperable.
So explore the site. Click on all the links. Browse our resources. Discuss with us. Make yourself at home here, and I will be your host. Let me know what I can do for you.

The Graduation Pledge Alliance
The Graduation Pledge was the original impetus for this site. The attempt was to help those who have taken the pledge so that they would be better able to carry out their commitment. But we realize that there are folks who never did or never will take the Pledge who want to be socially responsible on the job and we want to be helpful to those folks as well.
The Graduation Pledge
I _____ pledge to explore and take into account the social and environmental consequences of any job I consider and will try to improve these aspects of any organizations for which I work.
